The cost of vodka per litre starts from around £17.50 in the UK. This is the starting cost of 1 litre white label vodka bottles (e.g. grocery-branded vodka). Smaller bottles are usually more expensive per litre. And it may be cheaper per litre to buy a 1.5 litre bottle, where they are available.

It's typically cheaper on a cost-per-litre basis to buy a larger bottle. For example, the starting cost of a 35cl bottle (£7.25) works out to £20.71 per litre—which is 18% more expensive per litre than buying a 1 litre bottle (for around £17.50).

Sometimes these brands can be found on discount—for example, we've seen significant deals for some of these brands at Tesco (with a Clubcard) and Amazon. Sometimes, the discounts can save you up to £12 per bottle (although usual savings are more like £3 to £8 per bottle).

We've displayed a "per litre" price as well as the price of a 70cl bottle. Note, some brands sell 1 litre bottles and some don't. Where possible, we displayed the (usually) cheaper price per litre that reflects 1 litre bottle pricing.

Most expensive vodka brands

Beluga Epicure Vodka from Russia will set you back £8,500 in the UK. If this is out of your price range, there's always the £400 bottle of Buffalo Trace Clix vodka, which is out of stock at Harrods but there are still a few in stock at Hedonism Wines, where you can get it for just £384. At least that comes in a beautiful wooden box. Interesting fact: CLIX, or 159 in Roman numerals, stands for the 159 separate distillations required to produce this tipple.

Average alcohol spending is £796 per household per year. That's equivalent to 45 bottles of cheap vodka or roughly 30 bottles of branded vodka (assuming a cost of £25 per bottle).

How much is vodka?

The price of vodka is highly variable, ranging from around £17.50 per litre for grocery store brands up to around £60 per litre for Grey Goose or Beluga vodka.

Always drink responsibly.
