Everypaw Pet Insurance Overall Review

Everypaw pet insurance offers a number of policies with a solid set of features and a 5-star defaqto rating—and often at relatively cheap prices—but be aware that customer ratings highlight some issues with claims being denied as pre-existing conditions (even where the vet says two conditions are unrelated). This is certainly something to keep in mind and be wary of if you are insuring a pet who has previously had any health issues.

Everypaw prices have risen noticeably over the past few years, but they still offer relatively cheaper quotes in many cases so are worth checking, however, if you're looking for cheap pet insurance. They cover dental injury and illness—so long as your pet gets regular dental checks, recommended work carried out and the work is needed to relieve suffering.

While their Time Limited policies will usually come out cheapest, be aware that these policies only cover a condition for up to 12 months. This can leave the pet owner on the hook for any long-term or chronic health problems such as allergies—these are actually quite common, so it's usually worth paying a bit extra for a Lifetime plan if you can, since the vet limit renews each year.

Everypaw Pet Insurance Customer Service Reviews and Ratings

Everypaw Ratings & Customer Reviews
Trustpilot customer service rating2.9 out of 5 stars
Feefo4.2 out of 5 stars
Defaqto3 stars to 5 stars

Is Everypaw Pet Insurance any good? Everypaw pet insurance products gets 5 out of 5 stars from Defaqto on around half of their products, which is an indication of the features provided by Everypaw pet insurance. If you're in the market for pet insurance, check to see which are 5 star rated before you buy. While we agree that Everypaw pet insurance rates well for features on a large portion of their products, their customer reviews are a mixed bag. We've read through the reviews to see what real customers have to say about their Everypaw pet insurance. Here's what we found:

Everypaw Pet Insurance Trustpilot

Everypaw has earned 2.9 stars out of 5 at Trustpilot, with 5 out of 10 customers giving Everypaw just 1 star indicating a bad experience. Here is a sample of the more common complaints, which included claims being denied due to pre-existing conditions—even when the customer's vet stated that a new condition has nothing to do with a previous illness:

"They won't pay out if your dog has had different illness in the same area and the new illness is not even related."

"I got a great price to insure my cat on EveryPaw but was turned down for insurance. The reason? I could not provide vetinary (sic) records for my healthy cat before I got her from a reputable animal rescue centre 6 years ago and despite full records since with the same vet."

"Wouldn’t pay out do (sic) to a pre-existing ‘condition’ which the vet confirmed was completely unrelated. My cat had a couple of days of dihorrea (sic) when I first adopted her so I took her in for a checkup. They said it was probably just the change of environment and diet. However, they gave me some pro-biotics anyway. A year later she had a hair ball blockage that required significant treatment ~£900. After putting in a claim, they retrospectively added an exemption on her insurance for ALL gastro related issues and refused to pay out."

Everypaw Pet Insurance Feefo

On the other hand, customers rate Everypaw with a higher score of 4.2 out of 5 stars on Feefo. Reading the reviews, we noticed customers praised the company for competitive prices, good features and customer service:

"I liked the site set up, it was easy to use and very affordable. Thank you."

"My usual insurer had ramped up their price, so I went on a comparison site and found that everypaw was a very good price for near enough the same benefits as my previous insurer, and it's with the same underwriter."

"Really helpful easy to fill out pets details, and a lot cheaper than tesco insurance"

"5 star says it all. All questions answered immediately. Customer service excellent."
