Read our research to determine which is best for you and your dog.

Raw Dog Food Company Cost Comparison

While there isn't one "cheapest" raw dog food company because prices of raw dog food can vary considerably depending on the meat from company to company, Nutriment, Wolf Tucker and Nature's Menu's "Original" are generally more economical.

Prices for raw feeding have risen sharply since 2019 due to volatile food inflation, which reached a peak of 17.5% in 2023. As of January 2026, average prices per 500g (Chicken/Standard Mince) for leading suppliers are: Wolf Tucker £2.29, Nutriment £2.69, Natural Instinct £4.40 (sold as 1kg/2x500g), and Luna & Me £3.65. Owners should note that while inflation slowed to approximately 5.1% in late 2025, these baseline costs have remained elevated compared to pre-2020 levels.

Feeding a 10kg dog a raw diet in 2026 typically costs between £1.20 and £1.80 per day, depending on the protein source and brand. This sits within a broader financial context where the average annual cost of keeping a dog in the UK has reached approximately £1,934. While standard dry food diets may average £300–£400 annually, a raw feeder can expect to spend between £450 and £900 per year on food alone for a small-to-medium dog.

Raw Dog Food Company Ingredient Comparison

For the most part, complete raw dog food meals contain 80% to 90% meat (including bone, offal, etc.) and 10% to 20% vegetables and fruits. Some products also contain oils and other supplemental ingredients like spirulina, kelp, herbs, etc. Note that Nature's Menu "Original" contains a lower percentage of meat, which is in part replaced by brown rice.

What's the Best, Cheapest Raw Dog Food Company?

According to our analysis of prices and ingredients, we found that Nutriment offers the best value raw dog food, providing a wide range of good ingredients for a good price. Here's a recap of the major UK raw dog food companies that provide frozen, complete meals that include meat plus fruit and veg.

Nutriment. Nutriment continues to be a competitive entry-level option in the 2026 market. While their baseline 500g chicken tub has risen to £2.69, they remain one of the more economical choices compared to premium 'patties' or subscription-only models. For maximum savings, Nutriment's 1.4kg chubs (starting at ~£5.99) offer a lower price-per-kg than their standard 500g tubs.

Shipping: Orders received Monday to Thursday before 2pm will be packed and shipped that day for next day delivery via a courier. Orders placed at other times will be processed the next business day.

Natural Instinct. Natural Instinct's "Natural" meals include meat plus carrot, apple, butternut squash, spinach, sea kelp and Scottish salmon oil. Prices are a bit higher than other products on the market, and meals are available in 250g, 500g and 1kg packs. The 250g packs offer the least value for money but may be more convenient for smaller dogs.

Shipping: Most UK orders are shipped in polystyrene boxes using next day delivery via Parcelforce, with no signature required for delivery.

Luna & Me. Luna & Me is marketed as a posh raw dog food—as evidenced by the packaging, organic ingredients and photo presentation on marble slabs. Meals include meat (including liver and heart), plus superfoods and prebiotics—for instance, duck liver and British duck heart, butternut squash, carrot, apple, spinach, kale, wild salmon oil, organic raw sea kelp powder, organic coconut oil, organic spirulina powder, organic brewers yeast powder, organic chicory root powder, organic bilberry powder. You can order up to 14kgs of mince in a box, but there are no discounts for bulk orders. And the mince boxes don't look compatible with long storage times anyway (they're similar to the old-style Chinese takeway cardboard boxes with folding tops).

Shipping: Orders placed by 1pm Monday to Thursday are delivered the next day. Other orders will be processed the following business day for delivery a day later.

Nature's Menu. Nature's Menu offers three different complete, frozen raw dog food products: Original, Country Hunter and True Instinct. We like that their food is offered frozen into smaller "nuggets" or "bites" which are easier to dose and quicker to defrost. Whilst Nature's Menu "Original" recipe came in cheaper for beef and lamb meals, the product contains only 55% meat. We find their website a bit harder to navigate (e.g., can be tricky to differentiate between products).

Shipping: Home delivery service is rated superb by customers, with frozen food arriving in refrigerated vans.

Bella and Duke. As of 2026, Bella and Duke's standard 500g trays typically cost around £3.50 when purchased individually or in small quantities. However, their subscription model allows for significant scaling; for a medium-sized dog, daily feeding costs now start from roughly £2.76 per day, with the most economical bulk orders bringing the equivalent price-per-500g closer to £2.30 for their 'Basics' range.
