Interestingly, our data showed that a family of four needing worldwide coverage may even pay less for an annual plan than one single trip plan.
However, sometimes single trip plans can work out cheaper so it's always a good idea to check prices of both before you commit. For instance, someone with a deteriorating health condition might find that an expensive annual policy is beyond their budget, but that single trip policies might be more affordable.
Additionally, single trip policies can provide more days of winter sports cover. Those going on a longer ski holiday might find that an annual policy does not offer sufficient coverage, due to limits on the number of days one can ski each year (e.g., 10 days per year). Single trip policies with winter sports coverage will include protection for the duration of your trip.
