On average, Marriott Bonvoy points are worth 0.7 pence each. They're worth more when you book off peak (0.8 pence) and less when you book during a peak time (0.7 pence).

Methodology

To calculate the value of a Marriott Bonvoy point for the UK, we first used the redemption chart for the US, then converted the data for the UK market.

A one night stay requires either a certain number of points or points + cash. The cash required should be equivalent in value to the difference in points, which we used to find the value of a point. For example, a standard stay in a category 2 hotel requires 12,500 points or $65 + 6,000 points. So by contributing $65 you use up 6,500 fewer points, implying a value of $0.010 per point ($65 divided by 6,500 points).

We then converted the USD cash + points redemption chart to GBP to find the points value for people in the UK using an exchange rate of 1.35 USD/GBP. The chart below shows how we did this for "standard" rate bookings. We also did this for peak and off peak bookings, the results of which are in the table and chart above.
