Nuba All Round Credit Card Review

Nuba All Round cardholders have up to 30 months to pay back their balance transfers, money transfers and purchases in a "no-interest" environment. Some cardholders may receive shorter promotional periods.

Balance and money transfers are not free, however, as you pay a one-time fee to make the transfer.

Type of TransferPromotional Fee (first 60 days)Ongoing Fee
Balance Transfer2.73%5%
Money Transfer4%5%

Generally speaking, this transfer fee is relatively small compared to the interest you avoid paying on an interest-charging card. A 2.73% balance transfer fee works out to about £27 on a £1,000 balance—we think that's a small price to pay for potentially avoiding hundreds of pound in interest payments on a regular credit card.

FYI: Nuba Credit Cards are issued by MBNA, which does not allow balances to be transferred between MBNA accounts.

Keep the Promotional 0% Rates

If you decide upon the Nuba All Round card, be sure to always pay at least the minimum monthly payment every month and stay within the credit limit—if you don't, you'll lose the 0% promotional rates and begin paying 19.9% or more on your balances.

As with all 0% periods, try to pay back all balances before the promotional periods end so that you avoid interest charges.

Who is Eligible?

Nuba cards are open to applicants with the following criteria:

  • UK resident
  • Aged 18+
  • Permanent UK address at least 3 years
  • Good credit rating/history
  • Employed
  • Not a student

Bottom Line: The Nuba Transfer Credit Card offers 0% promotional periods of up to 30 months for balance and money transfers and purchases.

How Much Can I Save with a 0% Promotional Period?

A 0% promotional period lets you pay back your balances in a zero interest environment. No interest does not mean no monthly payments—you'll still have minimum monthly payments due each month. And the more you pay each month, the sooner you can pay back your debts.
